Oldham's League One Struggles Continue

Walsall 3-1 Oldham

Banks's Stadium

Oldham might be flying in the FA Cup but they continue to struggle in League One and were beaten against at Walsall on Saturday.

Deadline day signing Lee Barnard (19) marked his debut with a goal to put Oldham ahead, after they made a bright start. Walsall should have levelled instantly, however they managed this just before the break through James Baxendale (40) and only the post denied them taking the lead a minute later.

Walsall did take the lead late in the second half through Jamie Paterson (74) with Paterson (90+4) wrapping up a 3-1 win for Walsall in injury-time.
