First Win In 10 For Oldham

Oldham picked up a crucial win at Boundary Park on Saturday afternoon when the ended an alarming run of league form when they beat MK Dons.

Managerless Oldham, after Paul Dickov resigned following defeat last weekend, opened the scoring through loanee Lee Barnard (22) and were almost two-up before MK Dons drew level through Daniel Powell (39).

On the stroke of half time Oldham were ahead again when Jean-Yves Mvoto (44) headed home.

Another loanee, Chris Iwelumo (53), further extended The Latics' lead early in the second half with chances coming and going for both sides after this but it was Oldham who ran out 3-1 victors, seeing them win for the first time in 10 League One games.
