Has The Chance Gone?

Oldham head to Goodison Park on Tuesday with Tony Philliskirk admitting, as he told The Manchester Evening News, that perhaps their chance to beat Everton has gone?

Winning the original tie was perhaps The Latics' best chance of causing an FA Cup upset, however the caretaker boss, whilst admitting that may well be the case, knows it was his priority to get a result that either saw them advance to the next round or gain a replay: 'Usually you only get one chance to beat a Premier League side and maybe ours was on Saturday. Who knows?

'The biggest thing for us was to get a draw here and the financial benefits that came with that.

'We will go and enjoy it, have a right good go at them and see what happens.'

Everton will undoubtedly be the favourites at Goodison Park but with almost 5,000 Oldham fans cheering them on you never know.

It would be the absolutely wonderful if The Latics could secure that place in the quarter finals as the financial rewards of a place in the next round would be coupled with the replay too!
