Johnson - Get Safe

Lee Johnson knows the pressure is still on despite our victory over Yeovil, as we need one more point to be mathematically safe from relegation this season.

Johnson would quite like to get that point in our game against Crawley.

Speaking to the Official Site the manager explained.

'The pressure remains very much on. There are five games which can seal our fate either way and three of them are in our own hands. We have to make sure we take our chance, get over the line and secure League One status for next season. It would be nice to achieve safety tomorrow in our last home game of the season so the players get a good send off from our crowd.'

Johnson also took the opportunity to explain why he handed Robbie Simpson the captains armband with James Wesolowski missing, saying he felt it was a natural choice because Robbie leads by example on the pitch in how he plays his normal game and his attitude off the pitch and on the training ground.

'If you had to pick three of four players to go into war with, Robbie would be one of them which is why I thought it was right for him to be captain.'

Johnson is also boosted ahead of the game as Jose Baxter returns following his two game suspension, but of course it does give him the headache of rotating players around or sticking with a winning team.
