Johnson Looking Forward To Derby Return

With Oldham being selected to host Derby County, it will be a special boost for Johnson having spent a spell there in 2010.

Our manager was with them in January and February and remains good friends with Nigel Clough, Gary Crosby and Richard Keogh (their skipper).

Speaking to the Official Site after the draw was made, Johnson said.

'It was a special draw as I played for them for a short time. I'm pleased, it's a good draw as we are at home to Derby who are a massive club.'

Johnson says it will be a good test for his players and being a good test so early on in the season will help him as he continues to assess the squad.
