'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Smith Admits Loan Spell Impressed Him

New signing Korey Smith has said that his loan spell at the club played a huge part in his decision to join us on a two year contract.

Speaking to the Official Site the 22 year old explained his reasons for joining Lee Johnson's battle.

'I had quite a few clubs interested in me and I was offered more money elsewhere. At the end of the day I have returned because I enjoyed living here and also enjoyed my footall. The manager was, like me, a small midfield player and he has helped me and given me advice to improve my game. He gives me freedom to express myself.'

Smith also confirmed as Johnson said, that the manager had stayed in regular contract with him over the summer so far so he knows he's wanted and valued which is a big thing for him, as no doubt it is for many players.
