Dayton - Feels Like We Were Robbed

Winger James Dayton has said that following the draw with Bristol City it feels like we were robbed of all three points.

Oldham had double the amount of chances at goal as Bristol City did on the day, but they took the early lead and Dayton earned us a point in the game late on, but he explained to the Official Site that he was annoyed that we didn't take all three points in the game.

'I feel as though we were robbed and hard done by as we dominated the majority of the game. Mark Oxley only had one or two saves to make which is a measure of how well we defended. Having Tarks back was massive. It was just unfortunate we couldn't put away more of our scoring opportunities.'

His equaliser was pretty sterling stuff, and he admitted he was delighted to get his second goal for the club especially as it helped us to a point which is the very least we should've taken from the game. However, whilst it's pleasing to score spectacular efforts, he assures fans he'd be just as delighted to kick in a few simple efforts, especially if it helped us to more wins in the league and helped lift the club to where we want to be in the table.

With that said and disappointment over not taking the win, Dayton said again though the team could take a lot of positives and confidence from the match, especially with how well we played because although City are struggling so far this term, they do have some good quality players, so it's a measure of our own improvement - especially as for large parts of the game we made their 'names' look very ordinary.

That is a bit of a double edged sword though as Dayton admits himself if we can perform like that against City, what happened in our previous game against Notts County?

Consistency in many ways is the last thing we have to master before we can really kick on.
