Johnson Delighted With Comeback

Manager Lee Johnson has said that he was delighted to see Oldham respond to going behind in the way they did as we fought back to take a point in the game.

It took Oldham only two minutes to get back level in the game against Bradford thanks to an equaliser from Jonson Clarke-Harris, and given we could've won the game in the second half with on loan Mike Petrasso's chance, Johnson told the Manchester Evening News that he was happy with how the team managed the game, but he did have a little bit of disappointment at the way we didn't quite manage to take all three points.

Speaking about Clarke-Harris and lavishing a bit of special praise on him, the gaffer explained.

'He's just turned 19 years of age so he has an awful lot of learning ahead of him. But we are seeing an improvement in him day by day, he has a fantastic left foot and he is a real threat.'

As for the game specifically Johnson went on to explain that he was very pleased with the game management and importantly how we kept possession of the ball during the second half.

The disappointing thing was he feels overall we just didn't create enough chances during the game, especially given the possession and time on the ball we did have, but in some ways he credits Bradford for that given how they defended and kept things tight.

For him, if we could've snuck that second goal he feels we could've gone on to win the game quite comfortably, but it just wasn't to be on the day, so we head into the next game happy with a point and going four unbeaten in the league now.
