Johnson Makes Early January Changes
Manager Lee Johnson has shook the playing squad up early so far this January, and we've seen a couple arrive, and a couple leave.
We already knew defender Matteo Lanzoni had left the club after rejecting the contract offer that he was presented with, and he's now subsequently signed for another Johnson...Gary at Yeovil.
18 year old midfielder Chris Sutherland has also left the club.
He made his debut back in September 2012 and went on to make 11 appearances in total for the club, and earlier this season he was out on loan at Barrow.
He leaves us having been released.
There are also incoming moves by the gaffer though.
32 year old defender Adam Lockwood has joined us until the end of the season. He began his career at Reading back in 1999 and has since had successful spells at Doncaster Rovers and Yeovil Town and Johnson will be hoping he can add some extra steel to our defence and experience to help out the younger members of our squad.
The manager has also brought in Gary Harkins and David Worrall.
Harkins has made 15 appearances for St Mirren this season, finding the net once and he admitted that having spoken to the gaffer about his aims for the club he's very excited to help play his part.
Worrall joined Rotherham in the summer having spent three years at Bury, and has scored one goal in three appearances for them.
