Wright To Stay & Development Dropout

Lee Johnson will be given the boost by the news that Tommy Wright will be coming back told Oldham on a permanent basis.

Wright returned to Boundary Park in February to work alongside Johnson as his assistant and following the impact that he had, to help stave off the threat of relegation, he'll be staying alongside Johnson next season.

The Oldham Chronicle also reports that Paul Murray has 'verbally agreed' a new deal to remain as a first-team coach.

Other news saw the club confirm that they will be dropping out of the Final Third Development League next season, with Johnson of the opinion that a smaller squad won't need to be taking part in the development league with 'alternative friendlies' being sought behind closed doors.
