Comfortable 8-1 Win For Oldham

Comfortable 8-1 Win For Oldham

Oldham's pre-season preparations for the 2014/15 season continued with a comprehensive and comfortable 8-1 win over Curzon Ashton.

Jonson Clarke-Harris, Carl Winchester and Rhys Turner all scored twice, 'a trialist' and Genserix Kusunga were among the goalscorers for the Latics with Jimmy McCartney scoring a last minute consolation.

Three-nil at the break, Lee Johnson made 11 changes and a further five-goals followed after the break before Curzon Ashton had the last say.

The game was marred by a serious injury to Connor Hampson on 24-minutes, the official website said: 'He seemed to suffer a horrific leg injury and the youngster remained down for over 20 minutes.'

Lets hope that it wasn't as bad as first appeared or thought....

Wins breed confidence against any side and at any stage of a season so an eight-one win will go down very nicely!
