Oldham Seal Late Blackburn Draw

Oldham took part in a behind closed doors friendly with Blackburn Rovers today and came away with a credible draw.

Those that came on as subs in the three-one win against Huddersfield Town started against another championship side today, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

William Gros scored from 25-yards to give us the lead before two goals saw Blackburn come from behind to lead, with defeat looking likely a late minute Danny Philliskirk goal earned a two-two draw.

Lee Johnson felt it was a draw well deserved and a very beneficial 90-minutes, he told the official website: 'It was a great run out against an experienced Blackburn side with big name players.

'It was a brilliant exercise for us as a group and I was delighted for Willie as it was a spectacular goal.'
