Tranmere Boss Thankful Of Draw

Tranmere manager Les Parry left Boundary Park a very relieved man after watching his side get a 0-0 draw against Oldham on Monday night.

And he had his goalkeeper Tony Warner to thank for the hard earned point as he put in a great display of goalkeeping to keep the Latics from scoring.

The point puts Tranmere three points clear of the relegation zone.

'Our performance was not great and I'm sure Oldham will be gutted that they didn't win,'' said Parry to the Press Association.

'They made a few good chances and our keeper made a few good saves but I'm delighted because it's about time we played poorly and came away with something.

its easy to get carried away here and say we were brilliant and they were lucky, it was far from that. If we had decent strikers then at least two of those chances would have gone in. They were not lucky that we missed the chances, they were lucky we had nobody good enough to take the chances.
